PIGGIES Hooray!

All of you who know me (wait, all of you know me...) know how much hair I thought Sophia would be born with... judging by Mason's insanely full head of hair straight from the womb.  Imagine my dismay when at about 5 months ALL of her hair fell out!!  She had to start from scratch.  So, I have been waiting for the day to come when I can put her little hair in pigtails and it has finally arrived.  Only to be pulled out by Sophie 2 seconds later I may add..  But for what it's worth, her hair is growing- finally.

Fall, wonderful fall.

I love this late fall weather... it was 65 today.  Awesome.  Is fall everyone's favorite time of the year?  Am I just a cliche?  Anyway, we've been out in the yard playing... here's Mason in the sandbox.

Generation iPod

I had a wonderful 32nd birthday thanks to my wonderful hubby and kids :)  We are now a 2 pod family...here's Mason enjoying a Thomas video on the new nano Matt got for me.  SO COOL!  What will they think of next-really.  It's good to be 32.  (I need to just keep telling myself that)

Just out for a stroll

Some sun shone in through the clouds today, enough for "Toady" to make it down the driveway and about 50 feet down the sidewalk!
Cutest Jacket Ever!  Thanks Lou-Lou.

Book Club Anyone?

This week I have been feverishly finishing "A Thousand Splendid Suns" for my book club on Thursday. Amazing book by the way. So, I had been on the couch reading while Sophie napped on Tuesday. I started to make dinner and Mason picked up one of his books and put on my glasses. He said, "Look mama, time to read!" He looked sooooo cute in my glasses.

Sophia walks with her cart

I have been trying to get Sophia to let go of the furniture and venture out by using this little walker. Everytime I would try it, her knees would buckle- and off she would crawl away with her little scoot. Then, on Monday she got brave and off she went! The only problem now is that when she runs into a table or wall she FREAKS! We need to work on steering I guess.

Mission accomplished

All summer Mason has been working on becoming super speedy
on his bike, turning, and going up hills. Now he officially LOVES it.
It was a bit cool on Sunday, but he had a great time showing off for dad.

A special visit

We were lucky enough to have four family members visit us from out of town this weekend. Matt's brother Chris and our nephew Daniel from California came for the weekend. Also, Mason and Sophia's great aunt
Lu and Great-Grandmother Victoria came from Queens, NY. It was a great visit, and good to reconnect with family. We love you guys!

Baby Sophia turns ONE!

WOW! Well, we all made it. This time of year will always remind me of when our Sophia was born. She is such a fun little person... she has more personality than any one-year-old should have. Here are some pictures of the big day. Happy 1st Birthday Sophie!

Mason's first day of preschool

This was a big day for all of us. Mason started preschool this fall. After his first day, he said his favorite things were his teachers and playing with the trucks and blocks. He has learned a lot of new things, including a clean-up song that goes to the tune of Jingle Bells. He loves it, and asks every morning if he has school that day. Sophia and I have been enjoying the "alone time" two times a week while big brother is at school.

What a Brilliant idea by Stephanie!!

Here's where I can put all those pictures...  nifty idea honey. Good thinking.

Jumping on the bandwagon

Well, here we are.  I have seen alot of these blogs lately from friends and family...hey why not us?  So, more to come later, but this is the beginning!
