The best chefs....are 4 year olds.

A recent discovery we made, is that Mason is an awesome little cook.  He can level off flour, help measure, and roll and cut cookies.  I think we will put him to work more often in the kitchen.  And better than his baking, was eating our Christmas cookies with a cold glass of milk.

Molloy Family Visit

Another great visit from Mom and Pop Molloy.  The grand kids adore their grandparents.  This was a great time and incredible late fall weather.

Visit from Gramma Ladybug

We are so lucky to host my mom a.k.a. Gramma Ladybug since last Wednesday.  We had lots of fun trick-or-treating, went to the local children's museum, braved IKEA, did lot of mom-daughter fun and squeezed in a few dates for myself and Matt.  Thanks for the great visit mom!
Here's Gramma bug and Mason out in the yard playing with Tiggy.

Here's some of the girls outside feeding the ducks and hanging out at the park.

And some more outside...

Candy Fatigue

Too much Halloween makes Mason very, very tired.

Pumpkins

Here are our pumpkins from this year.  Mason liked helping scoop out the seeds, lighting the candle and making the pumpkins "glow".

A Knight to remember

Happy Halloween!  What a fun day.  This has been the first year Mason has been really into Halloween.  He loved his costume, he loved telling people what he and Sophia were dressing up as, and he thought Trick-or-Treating was so fun.  We went to a few houses with Gramma Ladybug and he announced, "Grandma, this is a great idea!"  As if we were the first ever to think of it.  So cute.  He was such a polite little Knight, thanking everyone for the treat.  He chose to eat his chocolate eyeball as the one favorite treat before bed last night.
Sophia liked being a ladybug, she didn't care for the first house we went to.  I think she thought I was going to hand her off to the lady there.   After that she was happy and the cutest little bug I've ever seen!

PIGGIES Hooray!

All of you who know me (wait, all of you know me...) know how much hair I thought Sophia would be born with... judging by Mason's insanely full head of hair straight from the womb.  Imagine my dismay when at about 5 months ALL of her hair fell out!!  She had to start from scratch.  So, I have been waiting for the day to come when I can put her little hair in pigtails and it has finally arrived.  Only to be pulled out by Sophie 2 seconds later I may add..  But for what it's worth, her hair is growing- finally.

Fall, wonderful fall.

I love this late fall weather... it was 65 today.  Awesome.  Is fall everyone's favorite time of the year?  Am I just a cliche?  Anyway, we've been out in the yard playing... here's Mason in the sandbox.

Generation iPod

I had a wonderful 32nd birthday thanks to my wonderful hubby and kids :)  We are now a 2 pod family...here's Mason enjoying a Thomas video on the new nano Matt got for me.  SO COOL!  What will they think of next-really.  It's good to be 32.  (I need to just keep telling myself that)

Just out for a stroll

Some sun shone in through the clouds today, enough for "Toady" to make it down the driveway and about 50 feet down the sidewalk!
Cutest Jacket Ever!  Thanks Lou-Lou.

Book Club Anyone?

This week I have been feverishly finishing "A Thousand Splendid Suns" for my book club on Thursday. Amazing book by the way. So, I had been on the couch reading while Sophie napped on Tuesday. I started to make dinner and Mason picked up one of his books and put on my glasses. He said, "Look mama, time to read!" He looked sooooo cute in my glasses.

Sophia walks with her cart

I have been trying to get Sophia to let go of the furniture and venture out by using this little walker. Everytime I would try it, her knees would buckle- and off she would crawl away with her little scoot. Then, on Monday she got brave and off she went! The only problem now is that when she runs into a table or wall she FREAKS! We need to work on steering I guess.
